Who this is
Hui Quan Zhong is an independent developer. He builds StampCam, a time and location watermark camera for iPhone and Android that renders its stamp on the device, without an account and without uploading the photo.
He writes the guides published on this site. They cover what a photo carries with it — capture time, GPS coordinates, camera settings — where that data survives, where it is quietly stripped, and how to put the time and place into the pixels so they outlive the metadata.
What these guides are based on
Every claim on this site is either reproducible on your own device or traceable to a published source. Where a guide states a number, the page links the source it came from and says when it was read.
- Airplane-mode and permission tests you can repeat without trusting us.
- Vendor-published store listings for any app other than StampCam, quoted as description rather than as review.
- Primary standards and platform documentation — the published EXIF specification and Apple’s own support and developer documentation.
Where a guide recommends a competitor over StampCam, it says so plainly. The comparison page keeps a section titled after the cases where StampCam is the wrong choice, on purpose.
